Leaf Watching:

Carpenter Lake Cabins is situated in the hardwood forests of the Algoma Highlands 90 km east of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. Beginning in early September and continuing through mid October, the leaves of maple, birch and poplar trees change colour from green to hues of yellow, orange and red providing a beautiful display of fall scenery.

You can enjoy a quality housekeeping cabin at Carpenter Lake (click on Accommodations tab) and take daily excursions by road and boat or walk the hiking trails to see and photograph the autumn colours around you. Combine your leaf watching with fishing or small game hunting.

We are located 1.5 hours drive from the terminal of the Algoma Central Railway in Sault Ste Marie from where you can take the famous Agawa Canyon train tour in fall.

Feel free to contact us for further information on leaf watching including driving tours that you can take and the timing of peak colours.
