Ice Fishing:
Carpenter Lake Cabins typically is open for the middle week of February, which corresponds with the beginning of the winter trout-fishing season in nearby lakes. During this time, the resort provides comfortable accommodations for snowmobilers and ice fishermen. The cabins are fully winterized, heated and serviced with electricity and water. Bedding and full cooking and dining utensils are provided. The sauna is operational and available to guests each evening.
During the winter, the road to Carpenter Lake is normally snow packed and groomed as a snowmobile trail. Guests need to have a snowmobile to travel 18 km to the lodge and also to access local fishing lakes. Other useful items for winter guests include food, fishing equipment and bait, suitable clothing for both outdoor and indoor use and personal items such as a towel and soap. You may need a sleight to bring your supplies to the camp. Fuel is available.
Please contact us prior to your trip regarding the time that we are open in winter, the availability of cabins and details such as parking and snow conditions.
